Copywriter
JOB TYPE: FULL TIME
Fuse Fundraising is a consulting agency that supports nonprofits through direct response fundraising strategy. As a copywriter, you have a talent for authentic storytelling — and are responsible for the ideation, creation, and development of engaging content that brings our clients’ missions to life. Working in a collaborative, team-based environment, the copywriter reports to the VP, Creative Director.
Experience and Capabilities:
Relevant work experience in direct response fundraising
Ability to create content that supports fundraising strategy with a donor-centric approach across print, direct mail, digital, and social channels in a variety of non-profit sectors
Exceptional organizational and time management skills — must be able to handle multiple projects, competing priorities, and meet deadlines
Conceptualize content solutions with limited direction
Curious and solution-focused with the ability to be nimble
Ability to collaborate and be a supportive team member
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree
8+ years copywriting experience; agency experience preferred
Portfolio with relevant work samples
Strong understanding of print production and direct mail
Understanding of best practices in direct mail and digital advertising channels
Must be able to vary messaging and tone across audiences and brands
Ability to strongly present rationale and intent behind creative execution
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Embraces teamwork and develops effective relationships with others to inspire and support the team
Experience:
Copywriting: 8 years (Required)
Creative execution: 1 year (Preferred)
Direct response fundraising: 1 year (Required)
