7 Organizations Fighting for Racial Justice

Continuing our month of social change, we’ve done some digging into some of the most effective and unique organizations supporting the rights of BIPOC and the fight for racial justice.

We hope you’ll take a look, and join us by supporting groups working to ensure social justice for all people.

  1. American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) seeks to ensure constitutional freedoms for every gender, race, and sexual orientation.

  2. Black Girls Code builds pathways for young women of color to embrace the current tech marketplace as builders and creators by introducing them to skills in computer programming and technology.

  3. Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) is committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States. EJI challenges racial and economic injustice and works to protect basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society.

  4. Loveland Foundation works to show up for communities of color in unique and powerful ways, with a particular focus on Black women and girls. The Loveland Foundation prioritizes opportunity, access, validation, and healing.

  5. Minority Rights Group International (MRG) campaigns worldwide with around 150 partners and over 50 countries ensure that disadvantaged minorities and indigenous people can make their voices heard. For more than 50 years, MRG has campaigned alongside communities to achieve more equitable, inclusive and peaceful societies.

  6. NAACP Legal Defense Fund is the nation’s largest civil rights organization and aims to combat injustice through the legal and political systems – working to achieve economic and educational equality while reforming the criminal justice system.

  7. The Conscious Kid is an education, research and policy organization that supports families and educators in taking action to disrupt racism, inequity and bias. The Conscious Kid is working to bring antiracist children’s books to as many classrooms across the country as possible to promote healthy racial identify development in children.

These are just a sample of the many organizations making such a difference when it comes to social justice and equality every day of the year.

Please comment and share organizations you support making a difference in this sector – we’d love to learn more about them!
