7 Organizations to Donate to in Support of the Morocco Earthquake

  1. CARE works around the globe to save lives, defeat poverty and achieve social justice. They are on the ground, and their response in Morocco prioritizes women and girls, youth, and disadvantaged groups.

  2. Doctors Without Borders has mobilized teams to assess needs in this region, sending more than 10 medical and logistical staff to explore areas in the south of Marrakesh.

  3. Global Giving has opened a fund dedicated to meeting survivors' immediate needs for food, fuel, clean water, medicine, and shelter. The fund will then transition to focus on recovery efforts led by local, vetted organizations in the impacted areas to restore damaged homes, rebuild infrastructure, and more as needs evolve.

  4. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies is coordinating with the Moroccan Red Crescent to provide life-saving first aid and psychosocial support, help transport the injured to hospitals, evacuate people from damaged buildings, and provide dignified burial management.

  5. Islamic Relief USA is based in Virginia and provides relief and development regardless of gender, race, or religion, and works to empower individuals in their communities. Staff are in Morocco assessing the most critical needs and identifying local humanitarian organizations to work with to deliver vital aid.

  6. UNICEF is collecting donations to provide emergency support for children and their families who are in urgent need of shelter, safe water, medical care, protection, and psychosocial services.

  7. World Central Kitchen is on the frontlines providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises. They have provided sandwiches, fruit, and water to offer immediate support and will be bringing food trucks and kitchen equipment to cook fresh meals.
