Masterful Pivoting:

Developing a Reliable Emergency Response Strategy

Challenge

Crises can erupt at any moment, and Mercy Corps must be ready to pivot fundraising strategies as soon as the next humanitarian emergency emerges.

Strategy

Fuse created a comprehensive emergency response plan that ensures Mercy Corps can always quickly and effectively engage supporters and donor leads when crisis strikes.

Timing is critical, and this plan ensures that urgent direct mail communication reaches donors and perspective donors within two weeks of an emergency. Prompt acknowledgements, a new donor welcome kit and a timely second ask all work together to convert emergency donors into longtime supporters.
